Growth as an individual as well as a church is dependent on connection. At Gordonsville United Methodist Church, we seek to offer individuals opportunities to join a group that challenges them and helps them grow in faith.Throughout the year, we are regularly offering new opportunities as we explore the interests and needs of our community. We encourage you to check back in regularly and stay engaged in our Facebook page to be certain you don’t miss an opportunity.
If there is a study or small group idea that interests you, but isn’t currently offered, please send us an email with your ideas or where you see a need – gumc.information@gmail.com
Many of our studies require a minimum registration to ensure there are enough participants for a dynamic experience with multiple voices contributing to the conversation. If there are groups that you are interested in, please complete the form to communicate your interest.
Reckless Love:
Jesus’ Call to Love Our Neighbor
A 6-Week Bible Study with
Bishop Tom Berlin
Join UMC Florida Bishop, Tom Berlin, as we take a road trip into Reckless Love—a six‑week Bible study exploring how Jesus teaches us to love God more deeply by learning to love our neighbors in bold, practical ways.
Drawing on voices and stories from the Virginia Conference (including several contributors from our own conference), Bishop Berlin invites us to ride along as he and his guests talk about what it looks like to love like Jesus in real life.
This study is based on the book Reckless Love: Jesus’ Call to Love Our Neighbor, published by Abingdon Press.
